Each one was worse than the one before it, whether that movie was love crimes, body of evidence, color of night, jade or the justifiably forgotten whispers in the dark. The ending caught us of guard with good action. I love it when that happens. Yet whispers in the dark is so insistently trashy, its plot coincidences jammed together like pieces in a badly assembled tinkertoy, that the movie sometimes has a camp appeal.
