We feel a great artist has been given command of the tools and resources he needs to make a movie about — movies. If the ending shot didn't exist this probably would have been a 2.5 or 3 stars but the last shot in a short film can ruin everything. But more context would have made the visuals more impactful. Unfunny characters, an over reliance on cutting away from gruesomeness, and a terrible ending involving a jump scare.

back hug was a nice tv special. But the ending was open, though, it is kind of expected from a tv special.
